What’s new on Pininfarina’s Geneva Motor Show stand? Italian coachbuilder and design house Pininfarina showed another stunning concept at Geneva to follow the 2005 Maserati Birdcage and 2004 Nido. The 2008 Sintesi is strictly an ‘ideas concept’ imagining a future vehicle that can communicate with other cars to avoid traffic and accidents and thus reduce the need for current passive safety requirements – like longer and heavier front noses to meet pedestrian impact laws.
Richard Hammond gets to play with the Pagani Zonda Cinque
Whilst we were busy wandering round the interweb today to make sure we’d got our facts right for the ‘Top Gear builds an Electric Car‘ piece, we came across a video of Richard Hammond out playing with the ultimate road-going Zonda – the Pagani Zonda Cinque. As all of you who watch Top Gear already know, Hammond would marry a Zonda tomorrow if he could. So you won’t be entirely amazed to discover that the video is an homage to the Zonda, and not exactly objective.
The first Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has been delivered to Switzerland
The Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has been a bit of a saga here at Cars UK Towers this year. We broke the news that Lamborghini were planning a roofless version of the Reventon Coupe back in March, and apart from the fact that no one believed our ‘Scoop’ – and we had Lamborghini on the phone asking us to retract the story – we were sure the information we had was real. So it was more than a little gratifying when were able to report that Lamborghini were doing a private reveal of the Reventon Roadster in July and finally the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
